Lots to see and do
Kerrington House is the ideal base for exploring Devon and
neighbouring Dorset and Somerset.
Axminster, home of the world famous carpets, is a sleepy market town
surrounded by gentle rolling vales and hills hiding picturesque thatched
villages.
Just a 10 minute walk away is the Flamingo Pool with a large heated indoor
swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool and fitness centre. A little further
away are all-weather tennis courts and indoor bowls.
This is superb country for walking, cycling, swimming, fishing, golf and
many other pursuits. Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe and the Heritage Coast
are all within a 10 to 20 minute drive. The three county towns of Exeter, Taunton and Dorchester are within an hours drive.
National Trust houses and gardens abound, and for antique lovers, Honiton,
with over 50 antique shops and sale rooms, is nearby.
A little further afield are Exmoor, Dartmoor, Torbay, Dartmouth and Salcombe, all within range
for a day out.
